Amanda Hauser, CPA

Amanda was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, where she earned degrees in both Accounting and Management Information Systems from Western Washington University, she also has a Certification in Web Development for E-Commerce.

Beginning her career as an auditor, Amanda worked in Business Assurance at Moss Adams, a large regional public accounting firm located in Seattle. During her time at the firm she became a CPA, and worked with numerous teams both as a Staff and as a Senior in charge to supervise teams, carry out planning, perform financial statement and employee benefit plan (ERISA) audit and review procedures, and prepare attestation reports on financial statements for small to midsized clients throughout the country ranging from start-up-phase to mature companies earning around $1 Billion in revenues annually. These companies represent those of varying legal structures such as sole proprietorship, partnership, LLC and C Corporation. In her capacity as an auditor, Amanda served a variety of industry groups including Technology, Hospitality, Retail, Governmental, Construction, Marine Transportation, Manufacturing and Distribution, Professional Services and Food and Beverage. While most of her clients reported in accordance with U.S. GAAP, Amanda also worked with several companies reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards as well as Generally Accepted Governmental Accounting Standards.

Amanda also spent time working under the IT Compliance and Advisory arm of Moss Adams, where she consulted with clients regarding the control environment surrounding the applications, databases and infrastructure critical to their information systems that support their financial information and financial statement preparation. Under the Advisory arm of the firm, she was also engaged with many service organizations where she performed risk assessments, controls testing and analysis to produce SOC 1, SOC 2, and other attestation reports.

Being exposed to variety of companies in public accounting, Amanda developed a deep understanding of the relationships between the financial statements as well as the impacts of internal and external factors on the financial and operational health as they relate to different types of organizations. Her analytical nature was also sharpened through consistent application of a well-developed audit methodology designed to identify critical areas and effectively reduce risk to an acceptable level, while allowing for continuous process improvement.

After moving to Houston, Amanda began working in private accounting for a local construction company, but continues to have a thirst for learning and expanding upon her knowledge base and skillset. She currently holds her license for the Series 65. Having begun her career in client service, Amanda developed a love for working with people from all backgrounds, hearing new perspectives, offering guidance and solutions to drive positive results and seeking opportunities to create value. She is excited to work with individuals who place importance on such virtues as integrity, trust and growth.

Outside of work, Amanda spends time with her family and friends, loves to travel and is thrilled to be living in Houston!
